These terms govern your use of Study Syria. By using the platform or creating an account, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. Who We Are

Study Syria is operated by Ahmed Jasem trading as Study Syria ("we", "us", "our").

2. What Study Syria Provides

Study Syria is an educational platform that:

  • Curates free online courses and structured learning pathways
  • Explains course material in simple English and Arabic
  • Provides AI-assisted tutoring and study tools
  • Helps you find scholarships and grants that may suit you, and guides your applications

There is a free tier and an optional paid tier ("Study Syria Pro").

3. The Scholarships and Grants Are Free to Apply For

The scholarships, grants, and courses we list are provided by third parties and are free to apply for. Any payment to us is for our curation and guidance — not for access to the funding or courses themselves. We are not affiliated with the funders or course providers, and we do not control their programmes, eligibility, deadlines, or decisions.

4. No Guarantee of Outcomes

We do not guarantee that you will be eligible for, shortlisted for, or awarded any scholarship, grant, or place of study. All eligibility rules, deadlines, and requirements must be confirmed by you on the official source. Our guidance is general best-practice information, not professional immigration, legal, financial, or admissions advice.

5. AI Features

Our AI explanations, tutoring, and application roadmaps are generated automatically and may contain errors or omissions. Treat them as a study aid, and always verify important details against official sources. You are responsible for the content you submit to these features; do not submit unlawful content or other people's personal data.

6. Your Account

You must provide accurate information, keep your password secure, and be responsible for activity on your account. You must be at least 13 years old (see our Privacy Policy for rules on younger users). You may delete your account at any time from your account page; deletion is immediate and permanent.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the platform, including by attempting to break security, abusing the AI features, scraping content at scale, reselling the service, or using it for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.

8. Study Syria Pro (Paid Tier)

Where you subscribe to Study Syria Pro:

  • The subscription is a fixed price, billed annually or monthly as you choose, via our payment processor (Stripe).
  • You may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals, and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
  • Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
  • Paying for Pro is never required to obtain any scholarship, grant, or course.

9. Intellectual Property

The platform, its design, and our original content are owned by us or our licensors. Third-party course and scholarship content belongs to the respective providers. You may use the platform for your own learning, but you may not copy or redistribute it for commercial purposes without permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

The platform is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on listed scholarships, courses, AI output, or third-party services, or from any application outcome. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Changes to the Service or These Terms

We may update the platform and these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales, except where mandatory local consumer law gives you other rights.
